ConstructionSite Security
Copper, tools and machinery — protected before dawn.
/ Construction Site Security
What it is. What it is not.
Construction site theft in Ontario costs general contractors an estimated $200 million a year in direct losses, and multiples of that in schedule delay, insurance premium and reputation damage. Copper wire, hand tools, generators, fuel, HVAC equipment and lumber all become targets the moment hoarding goes up. Ontario Security Services deploys the largest dedicated construction security program in the province.
Every active construction site we protect operates under a written post order that ties patrol frequency to risk profile. Copper-heavy sites see intensified overnight coverage. Fuel-heavy sites receive dedicated fuel-tank audits. Lay-down yards holding transformers and HVAC units get sealed and photographed daily. On sites requiring hot-work fire watch under Ontario Fire Code, our officers hold Standard First-Aid / CPR-C and complete fire-watch shifts to code.
From subdivision builds in Milton and Bradford to condominium towers in Toronto and Mississauga, from ICI projects in Ottawa and Kingston to industrial expansions in Sarnia and Windsor, we protect the sites Ontario is building on before, during and after every shift.

Five steps, on every site.
01
Site mobilisation
We walk the site as soon as hoarding goes up. Vulnerabilities are photographed and logged.
02
Risk-weighted post order
Copper, fuel, transformer and generator vulnerabilities are ranked; patrol frequency is set accordingly.
03
Trades check-in
Every trade on site is checked in and out. Sign-off is auditable for WSIB and general contractor compliance.
04
Nightly sweep + morning audit
Randomised overnight sweeps followed by a morning walk with the site super to reconcile any anomaly.

Fire watch on demand
Where hot work requires fire watch, dedicated officers cover the mandatory post-work interval.

/ FAQ · Construction Site Security
Questions clients keep asking.

Do you provide fire watch during hot work?
Yes. Fire watch is one of our core services on construction sites. Officers hold First-Aid / CPR-C and complete the mandatory post-work watch interval documented for your insurer.
- Q · 02
How do you prevent copper theft specifically?
Copper is stored inside sealed containers behind solid hoarding, delivery windows are staggered, and overnight patrols are randomised so no thief can predict our arrival.
- Q · 03
Can you cover subdivisions with multiple houses at different stages?
Yes. Multi-block subdivision coverage is one of our specialties, especially in Milton, Bradford, Innisfil, Whitby and Brampton.
- Q · 04
